Lindsay Rehabs, Everyone Else Talks About Her
Apart from one short excursion out of the center, Lindsay has been quietly hanging out at Promises since she checked herself in Monday afternoon. Luckily, she doesn’t have to tell us how it’s going because everyone else is happy to do the job for her. Her friend told People, “She’s happy where she is and is just taking time to herself to learn and be okay. I’ve been in touch with her and she likes it.” I’m not sure that rehab is really meant to be liked, but okay.
Her lovely father felt the need to open up to E! about his daughter’s supposed abuse of OxyContin. Thanks, dad! As he told the network, “I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care. And I’m satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That’s a very important step.”
As for that movie career, the producers of her upcoming movie Poor Things, Shirley MacLaine and Rob Hickman, say they will rearrange the shooting schedule to accommodate Linds. Though other industry insiders are saying that all this controversy will end up costing Lindsay roles. Wouldn’t be surprised.
And in the final bit of Lohan news, Lindsay’s lawyer (who had an oddly involved role in all this — what happened to Zelnick?) has said that her 21st B-Day party in Vegas will go on! Vodka sponsor or not! Sounds…healthy.

David Hyde Pierce Leaves The Closet
David Hyde Pierce, mainly known as Niles on Frasier, recently publicly “came out” about being gay in a recent article that was posted on CNN.
“He worked at Playwrights Horizons, the Public Theater, Shakespeare in the Park and a lot of regional theaters such as the Guthrie in Minneapolis, Chicago’s Goodman and Long Wharf in New Haven, Conn. Pierce got to Los Angeles in the early 1990s when his partner, actor-writer-producer Brian Hargrove, wanted to write for television.”
Reportedly, Pierce’s sexuality has always been a kept secret within Hollywood, although Pierce never publicly admitted being gay until this story was printed. AfterElton.com contacted Pierce’s rep who confirmed that Hargrove is in fact Pierce’s life-partner

Paris Hilton still living life
Paris Hilton heads off to jail in less than five days, but that hasn’t stopped her from hooking up with new guys and finding work. She was spotted at The Grove shopping center in LA with a new boy toy who refused to give his name when asked for it by the paparazzi. Additionally, she was seen coming home carrying a new script and looking absolutely delighted. This is just disturbingly optimistic. The first time I was sent to jail I wasn’t making new boyfriends and reading scripts. No, I was getting stopped at the border while trying to cross into Mexico.
Lindsay Lohan addicted to OxyContin
Lindsay Lohan’s dad, Michael Lohan, is claiming that Lindsay is being treated for the powerful painkiller OxyContin in addition to her drug and alcohol addiction. He tells E!:
“I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care. And I’m satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That’s a very important step. And I learned they use the 12-step program which includes a lot of lessons based on God’s teachings, so I was satisfied with that. First she needs to get clean, then she needs to let God into her life.”
Keep in mind this guy was also just released from jail and is estranged from his daughter. The guy who works at Starbucks and saw Lindsay Lohan from across the street one time probably has a closer relationship with her than this guy.
Pax Thien Jolie becomes a Pitt
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s newest adopted child, 3-year-old Pax Thien Jolie, was officially renamed Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt today in a Los Angeles County Superior Court. Keep in mind this kid’s original name was Pham Quang Sang. So, yeah, it makes sense that now his name is Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt. It’s practically the same word. Only completely different and not the same at all.
